The random ramblings from the head of House of Krypilo, H. E. Krypilo.
A bit on the subject of H. E. Krypilo:
"I started out life wanting to be a scientist, then found out about the A-bomb.
When I got older and not quite so unruly I decided I wanted to be a vet since I really dug the idea of helping animals. Then I found out they are attached to the sometimes selfish stupid humans who abuse/ neglect them and take them to me expecting a patch up. Wanting to avoid prison, I decided to move onto something else.
The idea of being a chef crossed my mind, but I later found out from an ex chef who had since given up his spatula, that it was a male dominated profession and the kitchens ran rampant with speed/ coke. Having since worked service I can attest that is a very true statement.
I then decided being an artist was kind of a nifty thing to do. Making attractive things to look at very rarely results in global annihilation or similar nasty side effects.
Since that decision I've had lots of bad jobs. From diamond salesperson, to tuxedo shoppe manager. Quirky Cd shoppe girl, to the more recent 'seamstress' at a modern day sweatshoppe. Making custom pillows, duvet covers, you name it, for egotistical designers with the nouveau riche for clients.
I one day realized I was wasting my life using my talents making money for others.
Plus I have a thing with people telling me what to do.
So here I am, on my own, designing & creating all the things that strike my fancy. Middle finger firmly raised in salute to the corporate contingency who keeps scaling anything creative down to the lowest common denominator in the name of profits.
I am a first born American, and was partially raised by my German grandmother who was raised by her Victorian grandmother.
I have a very strange view on the world in general as a result.
I have cossack blood in me somewhere and attribute my gravitation towards dark colors, all things velvet, and my fondness for faux fur to this little genetic quirk.
I am not a role model.
But have been known to say mildly amusing things from time to time, so, stick around, at very least you can look at all the pretty pictures I post.
